In a dark and secret place, the female spider guarded its 2,000 eggs. Inside each egg, a small spider was moving. They were almost ready. Ayman was chatting with Ed. He finished his chat because his uncle was coming to visit them. Ayman’s uncle is a nice successful businessman. He knows a lot about business. He's always been good to Ayman.

Ayman found a new e-mail from Dr Fakhry. She told him that she had discussed the black and yellow spider with Professor Jones, the head of the Zoology Department at Oxford University and one of the world’s top arachnologists. He was interested in the picture of the black and yellow spider and the ancient texts about it. He was also interested in the spider that he had seen. He thought the spider might be an unknown and very dangerous species. He would be in Hamdayya the next morning. She advised Ayman to be careful if he saw the spider again. He printed out the e-mail and then ran downstairs with it.

Uncle Walid arrived, and the family welcomed him. When he had sat down with a cup of coffee, Ayman told him all about the spiders. His family had heard the story before. In their opinion, half of it was true and the other half was Ayman's imagination. Ayman finished his story saying that Dr Shereen advised him to tell the police about it. His sisters laughed. His uncle advised him not to tell the police so as not to worry people.

Stories about dangerous spiders were not good for business. If people believed his story, they wouldn't stay in the hotels, they wouldn't eat in the restaurants, and they wouldn't buy food products. A lot of businesses would lose money. If Ayman were 100% sure there was a danger, he would have to tell the police. If he were not sure, he shouldn’t frighten people. He advised Ayman to keep quiet and not to tell anyone outside the family.
Ayman showed Dr Fakhry’s e-mail to his parents and his uncle. They were shocked when they had read it because they didn’t expect him to tell anyone.

Professor Jones arrived. Ayman did not know what to do or say. Maybe he was wrong about the spider, but now this famous man had come all the way from England to see him. Now the story of the dangerous spider would get into the newspapers. Businesses in the town would lose money. Ayman wished he had not told anyone about the spider.

As Ayman's family talked to the professor, two big lorries stopped outside the police station next to his house. There were ten armed police officers in each lorry. They looked out of the window and saw Mohamed running from the police station. Ayman's father called to his son and asked him what was going on. Mohammed said that the police were going to guard an archaeological site in the desert, as it was dangerous. They wanted to stop anyone going near it. All the archaeologists at the site were dead. When Mr Hassan asked what killed them, Mohammed said that they died of spider bites. "Spiders! Men don't die from spider bites! How...?” Ayman's father stopped in the middle of his sentence.
Uncle Walid made an urgent phone call to the police chief, Colonel Mikhail to make sure that the story about the dangerous spider was true. He thought that the danger of the spiders might have spread to the town.

A minute before, Ayman had felt a fool. Now everyone wanted to listen to him. He told the colonel everything about the spiders. He pointed out that he had seen the spider just after the police had brought the boxes from the site and that a spider expert from Oxford University was with him. The colonel asked them to come to the police station.
On the way, they saw men carrying equipment out to the lorries. An officer told them they got protective clothing from the Fire Department. They use it when they're fighting chemical fires. He also said they would wear it to keep the spiders out.

Colonel Mikhail told the professor that his men would be in danger from those spiders until they got the correct antivenom. They couldn't do that until they had identified the spiders. He added that he could get an expert from Cairo, but that would take time. He asked him if he could find one of those spiders and identify it. The professor said that was the reason why he came to Egypt. If the spider were a known species, he could identify it. The colonel said that they had protective clothing and asked if he needed any other special equipment. The professor said he had brought equipment with him.

The colonel told Ayman that they needed to know if those spiders had reached the town. He added that if Professor Jones found one of those spiders Ayman had to tell them whether it was the same as the spider that he saw. He asked the professor to get his equipment, as they would both leave in thirty minutes with Captain Ahmed El-Sherif. As they were leaving, the colonel asked the professor if there was an antivenom if the spiders were unknown. The professor said that there was no antivenom for them if they were unknown and that other antivenoms would not contain the correct antibodies, so they wouldn’t work. The colonel said. "Let's hope it is a known species."

Professor Jones returned to his hotel to get his equipment. Ayman went back to his house to get a few things. He found another e-mail from Dr Fakhry. He had no time to read it, so he printed it out and took it with him to read later. On their way to the archaeological site Captain Ahmed asked Professor Jones to tell him everything about spiders to be able to fight them.
